Do I need to be fit to start training at RSKC?

We don’t expect new students to be in shape when they start

The first part of your training is technical but you will be amazed at how quickly you burn calories as you begin to sharpen your mind and  body in your first lessons with us.

What do I need to wear?

When you start training a loose T-Shirt and Jogging Bottoms or Shorts is usual. No footwear is needed as we train in bare feet.

\When you decide that Karate is for you, we can supply Karate Gi’s (suits) and belts at trade prices.


Will I get hurt Learning Martial Arts?

Martial Arts Training at our school is one of the safest ways to exercise.

Safety is our priority and our Martial Arts program is specially geared towards brand new students.

Am I too old / too young to start?

Our classes are designed for students from the age of 5 upwards. Our oldest member is over 70 and trains twice a week.

  The great thing about our Martial Arts training is that you can progress at your own pace.

  Martial Arts isn’t a race, its a journey.

Will I be able to defend myself?

Within our Karate system we will give you some real tools that could effectively save your or your family’s life.

Make a positive change in your life and how better than starting with our Martial Arts program.

 How long before I reach Black Belt?

The average is around three and a half years but It depends on how often you train (twice a week is ideal).

You won’t, however need to be a Black belt to be able to defend yourself!

We will teach you how to develop greater impact in your kicks and punches and by the time you reach purple belt we will have equipped you with a complete fighting system.

Grading for any belt is not compulsory.
